<p>A method for producing a foamed plastic product suitable as liner material for container closures, including the steps of extruding a polymer composition foamable at atmospheric pressure into an air space at atmospheric pressure and then into a liquid quenching agent for stopping foaming and for setting, wiping against the quenched composition, and maintaining the residence time of the composition in the air space as a function of bubbling from the composition during the wiping.</p> |
