Analogue=digital converter with amplitude duration coding - had double slope coder with weighted error coding to assimilate quantification error

The analogue to digital converter is esp. for use in the digital processing circuits of telephone and radio communications systems. The converter works at high speed with min. cost. The converter has an input circuit providing a double slope coder operating by amplitude duration conversion using a clock based synchroniser and providing a certain number of weighted bits for the sampling code. A single weighted coding circuit works in time sharing mode coding the residual signal from the double slope coders, the residual signal corresp. to the error quantification which is fed through a matching amplifier to a second weighted coder.
