摘要 1510400 Phase regulation SIEMENS AG 8 Oct 1976 [14 Nov 1975] 41856/76 Heading H4P In the phase regulation of a timing signal (T2), Figs. 7, 8 (not shown), used to control sampling of the partial response pulses (A2) of a received data signal, the sampled signal (D) is coded using a disclosed relationship between the amplitude D(N), and the quantities B2(N-2), B2(N) to produce the data signal B2), N enumerating the sample pulses. A factor signal (K), having the value 0, -1 or + 1 whenever B2(N) and B2(N-2) are either different, or both equal to zero, or equal to 1 respectively {K(N) = B2(N) + B2(N - 2) - 1} is multiplied; by either the sampled signal (D), or the difference (F, Fig. 8) between the sampled signal, and the most probably correct signal (E, Fig. 8), determined according to disclosed criteria; to produce a control signal (H). The signal (H) is integrated, and the polarity of the result is used to control the phase of the timing signal (T2), either in an analogue fashion (not shown), or digitally, the polarity causing stepwise increase, or decrease in the timing phase, the integrator being reset each m {m = 20 or #64} timing pulses. The phase regulation takes place in the receiver of a data transmission system, Fig. I (not shown), wherein incoming data (G1) is encoded according to the algorithm, B1(N)=G1(N)+B1(N - 2)/Mod. 2, the signal B 1 being encoded in the form of a partial response pulse, Fig. 5 (not shown) for each binary unity, and nothing for binary zero to produce the form (A1), Fig. 6 (not shown), which is transmitted as a ssb signal, the signal (A2) corresponding to (A1) as received, and, in normal transmission (B2) as decoded corresponding to (B1), (B2) being decoded to provide output data (G2) corresponding to (G1).
