A vehicle journey cost indicator gives direct indication based on specific cost data. The indicator comprises an input unit, a price calculator and a counter display. The specific cost per kilometer for the given vehicle type is introduced by setting the input unit, and this cost is multiplied by the number of km driven obtained from a distance counter in the price calculator. The journey cost is indicated on the display and a second display may also be provided to sum the cost of several journeys.
