摘要 <p>Flue gas desulphurisation takes place by (a) SO2 adsorption from flue gas at a granular lignite coke at 50-160 degrees C; (b) regeneration of the charged coke by heating to 300-500 degrees C with formation of an SO2-rich desorption gas; (c) cooling; (d) recycling the regenerated coke to adsorption step, for renewed contact with flue gas and (e) sepn. of the fine material from the recycled coke. Novelty consists in (i) contacting the waste waters to be purified with the coke fine material and (ii) sepg. and burning the fine material charged with the impurities adsorbed from the waste water. Process can be used for purifying communal and industrial waste waters, e.g. for de-phenolating coking waste waters. Adsorptive purificn. of waste waters is cheap, by using a waste prod. Over 90% of the O2-consuming organic impurities in waste water are adsorbed by the coke. The purified waste water can undergo a shorter biological purification or can be discharged to drainage.</p>
