<p>A band cutting apparatus for cutting a fabric web to produce a web-like article by the agency of a cutting means to which said fabric web is guided. There is provided a guide means including at least one fabric guide means provided with a flattening means for flattening an inwardly directed curl at the edge of said fabric.
