3-Pentanoylcyclobenzaprin and in particular the (Z)-isomer or cis-isomer thereof, and their acid addition salts, are skeletal muscle-relaxing agents. (E, Z)-3-Pentanoylcyclobenzaprin is prepared in a simple manner from (E, Z)-3-(1-hydroxypent-1-yl)-cyclobenzaprin by oxidising the hydroxyl group to a carbonyl group. |
