<p>The shoe is fitted with an integral heating system when manufactured and enables the wearer to warm the feet when required. It comprises a suitably shaped electrical heating element placed in the sole of the shoe and fed from a battery (A) in the heel. This battery is rechargeable overnight, using the mains supply. The mains supply is connected by means of an integral plus (B), connected through a resistance (C) to control the energy input. A switch (D, E) is provided to control the use of the heating element and the whole unit is enclosed in a sufficiently rigid case (G) to prevent crushing.</p> |
