<p>The coupling interface, for interconnection of several peripherals with a central computer, receives the data from the computer via a punched tape channel, with a punched tape reader coupled with a central generator providing compatible signals for the peripherals. The peripherals are coupled to the generator via a multiplexer, allowing direct interconnection between the peripherals and also allowing several peripherals to be connected to the same generator. this allows the computer to be simultaneously linked to a data print-out, to a magnetic disc store etc.</p> |
