Portable connector crimping tool - receives strip shaped stamping between jaws of tongs for crimping by operating pivoted handle

A portable tool for crimp connecting tags to strip wire ends which are fed through the tool on a preshaped strip. The tool is shaped like a pair of tongs with hand grips and ahead with a recess for feeding through the wire end and the connecting strip. There is a hinged jaw on the frame (8) along the side of the recess. It has a guide for the shaped strip (3). It is hinged to the frame by a bolt (7) or a pivoting pin. The wire end strips (4) are stamped out of one edge of the strip. The tool has a blade which cuts the strip at the appropriate section and a crimping head which wraps it around the wire end. The strip is fed through the jaws in steps.
