The flap holder for furniture, for example for radiograms has a hinged stray rod. The stay rod is hinged on furniture indirectly, and fastening bracket on the flap is fitted separately. The hinge pin has circumferential groove for holding a spring. The latter has two arms for exerting contact pressure on the hinge pin. This spring is held on the hinge bracket and inserted by slipping the spring free ends over the chamfered pin end on assembly.
