1376269 Welding flux for cladding BOHLER & CO AG Gebr 19 Jan 1973 [25 Jan 1972] 2834/73 Heading C7M A welding powder for cladding with austenitic Cr-Ni steel strip electrodes by the submerged arc process has a composition by weight calculated as:- SiO 2 36-55% MgO + CaO 10-45% Alkali metal oxide, e.g. Na 2 O 2-10% Al 2 O 3 1-20% Fluorides (calculated as CaF 2 ) 2-10% The powder may also contain up to 3% combined Mu calculated as MnO, up to 10% of at least one of Mn, Ni and Cr, up to 5% of at least one of Mo, Nb and Cu, and up to 5% CaCO 3 . The powder may be manufactured by sintering, agglomerating, or melting and foaming. The fluorides may comprise CaF 2 , MgF 2 , NaF, or Na 3 AlF 6 . |
