Electroerosion machine group program control - with feedback from sensors for state of electroerosion gap and tool position

A program control for a group of electro-erosion spark machine tolls which machine workpieces to given contours includes a computer with an input and output register. Information about the state of the electro-erosion gap and about the position of the tool (electrode) relative to the workpiece is fed back to the computer and analysed to retract the tool in case of a short-circuit and to return it to the workpiece when the short-circuit has been remedied. This optimises the capacity and the functional reliability of the machines while maintaining the machine quality of them.
