Process involves adding water and letting it evaporate. The temp. is measured at two points within the (continuous) flow of the bulk material. One point is behind the other and their spacing is determined by time-dependent difference between high and low temp. positions, before and after the material has been cooled. The first measurement point controls the water supply directly according to this as a function of the temp. of the incoming bulk material. The second measurement point releases an additional control member, according to the extent of positive or negative deviation from a given temp. after the cooling. This has the effect of correcting the water supply adjusted at the first measurement point, proportional to the temp. difference between the two points.
