Fuse with inner and outer casings - with insulating oil between casings and insulating powder in inner casing

Fuse comprises a tubular fuse element mounted coaxially in an inner casing mounted in an outer casing. The longitudinal channel of the fuse element leads at both ends into the gap between the casings. Apart from this, the inner casing is closed. The fuse element is connected at both ends to two terminal lugs which extend sealingly out of the outer casing which is otherwise sealed. The gap between the casings is filled with insulating oil, and the remaining free space in the inner casing is filled with insulating powder. The fuse is suitable for continuous high current load, and in case of excess current causes an interruption in supply with min. possibly switching delay.
