A flexible cover is used to seal already opened beveragee cans, such as beer cans. It is made from moulded plastic. The circular cover has an undercut rim which is located by the circular edge on the can. The hole in the can, initially produced by tearing off the sealing tag, is closed by a hollow extension of matching shape, on the inside of the cover. The hollow plug is provided with a hole which allows gas pressure from the liq. to enter. The increase of internal pressure inside the plug ensures that a perfect seal is produced on the plug location hole.
