<p>The fitment for the UV and Ir lamps (24, 26) is modified to include an HV electrode. In addition to the HV AC a smaller, low-frequency voltage is pref. applied to the electrode. The electrode may consist of the lamp mounting plate (22), or a set of metal rings (29). These are installed at the outer end of the lamp covers (27); if the lamps are housed in a box, the electrode may be the grid that covers the box.</p> |
