<p>Device for male incontinent patients comprises a sheath (1) which fits over the penis, with a urine outlet pipe (3) leading into a container. The sheath has an inflatable flexible collar (4) which presses against the penis to prevent leakage of urine and holds the device in position. The collar pref. consists of a flexible inlay (4) connected to the inner surface of the sheath to form an inflatable annular chamber (5) between the sheath and the inlay. The chamber extends over a large part of the length of the sheath, and the inlay is more flexible than the adjacent part of the wall of the sheath. The collar applies pressure to a large area of the penis evenly, making it more comfortable and preventing obstruction of circulation.</p> |
