<p>The prefabricated component handling grab is usable with different components by changing the jaws (S, S1). It can have a weight (M) movable along the spreader (P) in order to tilt this at various angles. After initial securing by hand, lifting can supplement the grip of the jaws on the item automatically, release being effected manually after the component has been placed in position. The grab can in particularly be used for installing kerbstones by crane. Spreaders of different lengths can be used, suspended from a lifting eye by a pair of ropes between which a screw jack acts, the jaws pivoting on the spreader, so that by adjustment of the jack the jaws are hinged to and from each other.</p> |
