1506006 Discharge tube oscillators; transistor oscillators HEURTEY METALLURGIE 8 May 1975 [9 May 1974] 19513/75 Heading H3T An oscillator, e.g. for feeding as load the tuned inductor element 2 of an induction furnace, comprises a transformer 5 with multiple primary windings 6a-6d, each fed in series across a power supply 7 by one of the transistors 8a-8d or other active device, and with a common secondary 4 connected to the tuned load 2, positive feedback being provided to each active unit to maintain oscillation. The feedback may be provided by a second transformer 9 connected across the load 1, the common primary winding 10 being coupled to multiple secondary windings 11a-1 ld, each feeding the base of its respective transistor 8a-8d via a decoupled 14 bias resistor 12a-12d. The number of parallel circuits is determined by the power required. |
