1341210 Centring rotors DANFOSS AS 31 Dec 1970 [13 Jan 1970] 62014/70 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] A rotor is centred in the stator of a dynamoelectric machine by inserting location members 6 in slots in the stator, the members having heads 10 which project beyond the slots a distance equal to the width of the air gap and the members being made of shrinkable material so that after the rotor has been located in position and the members heated, e.g. by passing current through the windings 12, the heads 10 retract into the mouths of the slots. As shown, the location members, form slot wedges. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown) the members are hollow and the heads are each formed by a pair of projections (17). A suitable material for the members is polyvinyl fluorides. |
