<p>1477935 Laminating apparatus CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 18 Sept 1975 [25 Sept 1974] 38312/75 Heading B5N An apparatus for producing conveyer belt cores having a layer of longitudinally extending reinforcing members, e.g. steel wires located without mutual contact between a pair of webs of elastomeric belt core material, e.g. of rubber, comprises a pressing device for embedding the reinforcing members which extend on parallel spaced relationship on a single plane in the elastomeric belt core material webs applied on each side thereof, two reeds for separating adjacent, reinforcing members from one another being arranged with mutual spacing one behind the other, means for feeding the reinforcing members through the reeds and the pressing device and means for applying a web of elastomeric belt core material to each face of the layer downstream of the reeds and upstream of the pressing device. In the embodiment shown, steel wires 1 are conducted through the apparatus under tensile strength and are united with the rubber webs 2 to form the core 3, the pressing rollers 4 and the press 5 embedding the wires 1 into the webs 2, the alignment of the wires being attained by the spaced reeds 6 and 7 which are adjustable both perpendicularly and transversely to the plane of the wires, vertical forces exerted by the steel wires being absorbed by support rollers 8.</p> |
