The RF coupler consists of rectangular waveguide (6) comprising a rectangular slot in a solid base-plate, and a semicircular waveguide (2) formed in a solid top-plate. These are coupled via a row of coupling holes (7) in a central coupling plate (3). The coupling plate contains the top half (4) of the rectangular guide. The holes are located edge to edge in line and their dia. are roughly equal to the small face of the rectangular guide.
