Tensioning device for wires of hang glider - acts simultaneously on transverse and longitudinal wires which are connected to common lever

In order to tension the wires of hang gliders, the transverse wires are first tensioned and then the same operation repeated for the longitudinal wires. The tensioning device acts on both sets of wires simultaneously. Both sets of wires are connected to a common lever which can be operated by the pilot. The device is also applicable to any structure which derives its rigidity from wires or cables subjected to controlled tension around its mechanical axis.
