The regulator for adjusting the motor vehicle headlights operates pneumatically. The pressurised fluid lines to the motors are connected to a manual adjusting arrangement with a double valve for pressure monitoring. The pressurised fluid lines (15, 16) supplying the two motors (13, 14) have a manual adjuster (17). The manually operated valve monitors the connection of the pressurised fluid lines connected to a storage reservoir (23) and a relief device. The manual adjuster has two part piston one part of which has moving seat. The other piston part has an internal screw thread for the manual adjustment screw.
