PURPOSE:To obtain an elastic tape or film which is superior in hand and elasticity, harmless and inexpensive, by a method wherein a composition obtained by compounding linear low density polyethylene with a specific ethylene-alpha olefin copolymer is extrusion-molded into a filmy or sheetlike state and then orientation treatment is performed under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:An unoriented film or sheet is molded by making use of a composition containing a 100-60 pts.wt. copolymer, whose density is not exceeding 0.910g/cm<3>, consisting mainly of ethylene, and 0-40 pts.wt. linear low density polyethylene whose density is 0.915-0.945g/cm<3>. An obtained unoriented film or sheet is oriented 1.2-9 times at an area ratio in a flowing direction or in the direction meeting at right angles with the flowing direction and an oriented tape or film is manufactured. |
