The rotary-vane pump is partic. for the servo-assisted braking system of a diesel-engined vehicle, and has the inlet passage (6) opposite one of the end faces of the rotor (4). A non-return valve (8) and a filter (9) can be mounted in the inlet passage, and the portion of it contained in the pump housing (1,5) can be divided into two chambers (12, 13) of different volumes, there being an additional filter (11) at the junction between the two, and of metal, downstream of the first one.
