<p>Furnace flue gases are water-scrubber removing dust and sulphur oxides, and the wash liquid is neutralised and pptd using the alkaline fly ash removed from the gases. Process is for the cleaning of stack gases from furnace and boilers where coal, in particular brown coal, is the furnace fuel. The cost of a scrubbing and neutralisation unit is less, in both capital and operation, than for an electrofilter. The use of fly ash lenssens the cost of neutralisation.</p> |
