METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ADSORBENT WITH WASTE LIVESTOCK BONES

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an adsorbent with waste livestock bones is provided to eliminate heavy metals and organic chlorides at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of collecting waste livestock bones followed by washing; calcining it at the temperature range of 400 to 1000deg.C; pulverizing calcined waste livestock bones by a ball mill after cooling in air for 1 to 3 hours. Prepared waste livestock bones£Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2|is either applied as an adsorbent in it self or processed in the form of pellet by mixing with alumina, silica, 0.1-0.5wt.% of PVA (Polyvinylalcohol), followed by calcining at the temperature range of 900 to 1200 for 1 to 3 hours.
