<p>The seat which includes a ball joint (2, 3) located at the lower end of a tubular stand (4) and has stops which are located in the base member (1) beneath the ball joint in order to define the angle of rotary movement of the stand (4). The stops are pref. in the form of two ribs aligned in the form of a quarter circle and provided on the base (1) whilst a support peg (8) on the tubular stand (4) is provided at the same level with a stop pin which protrudes on either side. By restricting the rotary movement of the stand there is no danger of any uncontrolled movement of the chair which could occur when the seat is tilted or reclined.</p> |
