摘要 <p>The material comprises 12-51 wt.% boron carbide, 7-22 wt.% silicon carbide, 1-10 wt.% copper, 1-12 wt.% titanium diboride and 79-5 wt.% carbon. A specifically claimed compsn. contains 79% C, 12% BC, 7% SiC, 1% Cu and 1% TiB2. The material is esp. useful for aircraft brake discs in the landing gear, which have to absorb 70-98% of the braking energy during braking. The material has high thermal conductivity and high thermal capacity, low specific gravity, high service temp. and high oxidn. resistance.</p>
