<p>Phosphorus cpds. of formula (I) are new: (where R is alkyl, R1 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or phenyl, X is O or S). They are prepd. by reacting RO(R1)P(X)Hal with tert. pentanoylacetone (II). (I) have insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal activities and are more effective than known cpds. of similar structure. They have low toxicity towards plants and warm-blooded animals, and are useful in agriculture, for protecting stored goods and in hygienic applications. In an example, reaction of (II) and O,O-diethyl-thionophosphonyl chloride gave O,O-diethyl-O-(1-methyl-2-tert. pentanoylvinyl)thionophosphate.</p> |
