PURPOSE:To enable line thinning processing for one time to a whole graphic by processing to read picture elements for one picture and shortening a processing time by providing a final point judging part to use a mask for the new judgement of a final point and a post processing part. CONSTITUTION:A graphic storage part 1 stores the two-dimensional arrangement of picture element values to express the density of each picture element and whether the picture element is the final point or not. An arrangement read part 2 reads the picture element values for mXn arrangement from the storage part 1 with the attention picture as a center and sends the picture element values to judging parts 3 and 4. The peripheral point judging part 3 compares the picture element value pattern of the 3X3 picture elements with the mask with the attention picture element as the center and when the pattern is coincident with the mask, a signal is outputted. When the signal is received, the final point judging part 4 compares the picture element value pattern of the 3X3 picture elements, out of a result sent from the read part 2, with the mask and when the pattern is coincident with the mask, the attention picture element is judged as the final point and the picture element value is made 2. Then, the 2 and a position are written to a final point storage part 5. When the pattern is not coincident with the mask in any cases, the attention picture element is defined as an erasing point and 0 and the position area written. After processing is completed, a post processing determining part 7 changes each picture element value of the storage part 1 to be 1 and sends the value to a post processing part 8. |
