<p>Each electrode unit has one single strip-shaped spirally wound capacitor plate, with individual turns spaced by a constant distance greater than the thickness of the other electrode unit. Turns of one electrode unit are inserted into spaces between turns of the other. A spacer (53, 54) running along one edge of each electrode unit (21, 22) is inserted between its turns. It is also spirally wound. Spacing in the longitudinal direction is maintained by rods running along the centre and edges of the spirals.</p> |
