The telephone set of the invention consists of a solid casing 1 of brushed steel comprising in particular a series of slots 8 and a series of perforations 7 behind which are respectively arranged a microphone and a loudspeaker, a dialling keypad 2 with flush-mounted keys, as well as a message display 3, a display 4 for the number dialled and a display 6 for the initial credit and the current credit of a payment card produced in the form of a ticket with magnetic track.
