The silage cutter and conveyor consists of a support frame fixed to a tractor. The frame has a horizontal transverse beam (2) with a number of parallel gripper teeth (3). Rising from the transverse beam (2) is an upward pointing frame section which supports a vertically movable spade (6) near its top end. The spade (6) is mounted on a U-shaped guide frame (5). A vertically movable distributor (7) has a drive mechanism (22) and, connected to it, discharge pieces (9, 11) for parts of the silage block supported in the machine, in the form of pins or tines (11). The upright frame section (4) consists of two parallel vertical sections (23) in which run the rollers (24) of the support frame (9) of the distributor (7).
