1502388 Bolted joints LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE 2 Dec 1975 [12 Dec 1974] 49413/75 Headings F2H and F2M In a metal cabinet, for electrical equipment, an end 8 of a structural bar which is to be bolted to a wall or flange 10 of another bar is located with respect to the other bar by either deforming the wall or flange 10 as in Fig. 2, or providing it with inserts 19, Fig. 3, so as to provide at least two locating projections each comprising a cylindrical portion 9, of a height such as to fit in a corresponding aperture 7 in the end 8, and a conical portion 13 extending the portion 9 such that its interior provides a recess for the head 15 of a countersunk-headed bolt 16 which threadedly engages a conical nut 17 the periphery of which engages annular surface 18 of the end 8 surrounding the aperture 7. In the Fig. 3 embodiment, the insert 19 is provided with a flange 23 so that it can be secured in an aperture 20 either by press-fitting or welding. |
