PURPOSE:To provied an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving apparatus, in which ultrasonic oscillators for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves are provided at both end portions of a conical horn having end openings both in the form of an elongated circle, and a rotary mask formed with an elongated hole is attached in front of the ultrasonic oscillators, respectively, whereby form of detecting area can be varied with rotation of the masks. |
