Control circuit for copy milling machine - has vector analysers which correct deviation from true position

The electric circuit is for controlling a copying milling machine and includes a first vector analyser. This generates from the three output voltages of the sensing system a voltage proportional to the cosine component of the angular direction of each spatial displacement vector. A second vector analyser generates signals proportional to the velocity of the sensing probe. A computer circuit is used in the second analyser which arranges that the required value is the tangent of the angle of displacement and this is compared with the actual value. The actual value is calculated by dividing the velocity along the 'y' axis by the velocity along the 'x' axis.
