PURPOSE:To enable each of plate members to be heated uniformly even though it is heated in the form of a point, by a structure wherein the plate members are superposed each other through insulating layers, respectively, on a plurality of plates which extend radially so that the adjacent surfaces of the plate members are located opposite to each other, and thereby the whole resulting structure is arranged in a columnar or cylindrical form. CONSTITUTION:In a thermoelectric device 10 in which n type ceramic semiconductors 11 and p type ceramic semiconductors 12 are electrically connected in series in order to increase the whole thermoelectromotive force to be extracted, the n type and p type ceramic semiconductors 11, 12 each are formed as a plate member. And said plate members 11, 12 are superposed each other through insulating layers 15, 18, respectively, on a plurality of planes which extend radially centering around the predetermined straight line so that the adjacent surfaces of the plate members are located opposite to each other, and thereby the whole resulting structure is arranged substantially in a columnar or cylindrical form. For example, said plate member 11 has a wedge- like configuration in cross section. And said series connection is performed by means of conductors 14, 17 which are formed on the opposite surfaces of the plate members 11, 12, respectively. |
