SCINTILLATION CAMERA

摘要

The scintillation crystal reacts to radiation in a spatially limited zone corresponding to the place of generation by the generation of light flashes. Some photomultipliers have their optical axes at right angles to the plane of the scintillation crystal and have photocathodes to absorb the light emitted by the crystal. Computing circuits connected to the photomultipliers are used to determine the projection of a light flash in the crystal on a reference axis in the plane of the crystal. The circuits work together with aids to obtain an analytical function at the outputs of the photo-multipliers, which is dependent on the place of the light flash in the crystal.
