<p>The water closet toilet pan having a water passage with downward directed openings connected to a flushing water supply pipe for flushing the pan has an air passage having downward directed openings for sucking air from the pan. A valve has a body divided by lower and upper partitions to form a lower compartment which is connected to the supply pipe to receive water when the pan is flushed. An intermediate and an upper compartment of the valve are respectively connected to a suction pipe and an air passage. Valve members associated with respective openings in the partitions are connected to a float in the lower compartment so that when flushing does not occur the intermediate compartment is connected to the lower and isolated from the upper compartment. When flushing water raises the float the intermediate compartment is isolated from the lower and connected to the higher compartment.</p> |
