<p>1535696 Sealing cable joints WALTER ROSE KG 29 July 1977 [27 Nov 1976] 31955/77 Heading H2E [Also in Division F2] A device, for sealing a connection between cables, pipes &c. 1, comprises a slit sheath or sleeve 2 of heat shrinkable material with outwardly extending fastening lips 3, 3 along opposite edges of the slit, openings (5, Fig. 1, not shown) along each lip and a helical spring 6 looped about the lips and passing through the openings fastening the lips together. To improve the seal, either one lip has a tapered strip 4 underlying the opposite edge of the slit or a T-shaped member (8, Fig. 3, not shown) lies with the vertical leg in the gap between the lips and the side members underlying the sheathing (2a).</p> |
