Yarn feeding device has a number of holders supporting drive shafts which are journalled at vertically spaced locations and supporting at their lower ends lap drums, whereby the shafts support axially slidable belt pulleys which are movable between the locations to one of a number of operative locations defined by detents. Device is used in circular knitting machines. Feeding device can be driven in a slip free manner by one of a number of belts in a selected operative position.
