PURPOSE:To produce the welding material for hard overlay which has good crack resistance by constituting the wire compsn. of a flux-cored wire of a steel contg. specific ratios of C, Cr, Mo, V, Co, Mn, Si, W, and Ni. CONSTITUTION:The welding material for hard overlay which contains 1.0 to 2.0% C, 2.0 to 8.0% Cr, 8.5 to 15.0% Mo, 0.5 to 4.0% V, 2.0 to 6.0% Co, 0.5 to 2.0% Mn, and 0.1 to 2.0% Si and is restricted to <1.0% W and <1.0% Ni in the flux-cored wire filled with a flux in a steel sheath is prepd.
