1500834 Well pumps CENTRE D'ETUDES ET DE REALISATIONS INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ATLANTIQUE 15 Jan 1976 [23 Jan 1975] 1564/76 Heading F1A Oil well pumping apparatus comprises a rod linkage connected to a force pump immersed in the well, a cable 22 inter-connecting the linkage and a winch 11, a tubular mast 20 having an arm mounted thereon for pivotal movement about a vertical axis, and a pulley 21 carried by the arm for guiding the cable 22. Preferably there are two cables 22 to ensure their maximum service life. The arm is pivotable between a pumping position and a retracted position, the arm being lockable in either position. The forces exerted on the cables 22 are counterbalanced either by a counterweight 25 connected to the winch 11 by cables 24 and guided by a mast guide rod 27, or by coupling together two wells Fig. 6 (not shown). The angular position of the guide pulley 21 relative to the arm may be adjustable by mounting the pulley on a vertical spindle carried by the arm, Fig. 8 (not shown). |
