<p>A dual adjustable flange variable speed sheave employs a common sleeve with clamping end caps. Each flange applies pressure to a V-belt through a helical compression spring restrained by one of the end caps, the sheave being symmetrical about the center of the belt. Outboard bearings for the two adjustable flanges transmit their loadings to the end caps, and the flanges have inboard bearings directly engaged with the common sleeve or connected therewith through interdigitating bearing parts.</p> |
