Ships screw keel arrangement - with silicone resin coated surfaces for increased efficiency

The screw is arranged coaxially inside a keel which has annular, truncated-cone shaped and cylindrical inner surface. The inner surface of the keel and the screw surfaces are coated with a silicone-based resin to reduce friction. The effects of a centrifugal force are suppressed and the frictional resistance is reduced.
