<p>The frame of the window or door comprises two principal sections (5, 6) made from extruded metal profiles and joined to form an assembly. The extruded profiles have projections (8, 9, 11, 12) around their inner periphery which are covered by an extruded plastic strip (13) having a cross section in the form of a letter I. The horizontal portions of this section fit between the metal profiles and are held in place by a key (15) fitting transversely through an opening (14) in the web of the I section openings are provided at intervals along its length. Corners are made by means of a filler cord.</p> |
