Two-piece double track for sliding windows of automobile - has robust U=section fixed to door and contg. supple double channel section

The two-piece sliding windown track is esp. for use on automobiles and forms two paralle guidage channels. The assembly comprises an external robust 'U' section (7) contg. a supple double channel section (8). The 'U' section fits in the window opening (2, 3) and the double channel insert secures the glazing leaves (5, 6) whilst sealing the assembly. The 'U' section (7) may have a central internal arrow-head projection (11) which engages a matching central cavity in the double channel (8). The latter may have external returns which form grooves housing the edges of the support section. The internal return (24) is of major proportions and also houses a vertical door flange (4) which abuts the wall (9) of the support section.
